VidoZen ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website vidozen.com and the VidoZen Chrome Extension. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.

By using VidoZen, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Google Account Data

When you sign in with Google, we receive from Google's OAuth service:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your Google profile picture URL

We do not receive your Google password or access to your Google account beyond the basic profile scope.

1.2 YouTube Data (via Chrome Extension)

When you browse YouTube with the VidoZen extension installed, the extension reads publicly visible page data including:

• YouTube channel handles and identifiers
• Subscriber counts
• Video titles, view counts, and upload dates
• Channel monetization signals derived from publicly visible page elements

This data is read directly from the YouTube page you are viewing. We do not use the YouTube Data API and do not access any private YouTube account information.

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect standard server logs including IP addresses and browser type when requests are made to our servers. This is used solely for security monitoring and abuse prevention.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and maintain your session
• To display your profile information inside the Chrome extension popup
• To cache YouTube channel monetization data on our servers (ext.vidozen.com) so results load faster for all users
• To improve the accuracy of monetization signals over time
• To prevent abuse of our API through rate limiting and signature verification

3. Data Storage

3.1 Local Extension Storage

The Chrome extension stores the following data locally on your device using chrome.storage.local:

• Your Google account name, email, and profile picture
• Your account plan and feature preferences
• The last monetization scan result for the current YouTube page
• An API authentication key issued upon login

This data is stored only on your device. It is automatically cleared when you log out of the extension. Login sessions expire after 90 days of inactivity.

3.2 Server Storage

YouTube channel data (handles, identifiers, subscriber counts, and monetization status) is transmitted to and cached on our servers at ext.vidozen.com. This cache is shared across all users to improve performance. No personally identifiable information is transmitted alongside this channel data.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may disclose information only in these limited circumstances: to comply with a legal obligation, to protect the rights or safety of VidoZen or its users, or with service providers who help us operate our infrastructure (subject to confidentiality obligations).

5. Chrome Extension Permissions

The VidoZen Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

The extension only activates on youtube.com pages. It does not run on any other websites.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent at any time by logging out and uninstalling the extension

7. Children's Privacy

VidoZen is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of VidoZen after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
